"Christians Only"

The confusion and division in the religious world today are far different from the unity enjoyed by the early Christians, before tradition and distinctive names divided them. Believing such divisions to be contrary to the teachings of the Bible, we have no denominational name, organization, creed, or doctrine. Following the teachings of Christ and His apostles, we are known individually as Christians, and collectively as a Christian Church.
We do not claim to be the only Christians, we are Christians only.
Minier Christian Church Philosophy of Ministry

1. The purpose of Minier Christian Church is to win people to faith in Jesus Christ and produce growing disciples as mandated by Christ's great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.

2. A disciple:

  • has trusted Christ as their Savior
  • is growing in their relationship with Christ
  • is serving in ministry
  • is producing additional disciples

3. Role of leaders:

  • is committed to the church's philosophy of ministry
  • models discipleship by spending priority time in prayer and Bible study
  • is involved in making disciples
  • is accountable to God and the Church
  • empowers, encourages, and equips disciples to do the work of the ministry

4. Role of pastoral staff:

  • spend priority time in the ministry of the Word
  • coach, develop, and champion the disciple making process
  • provide direction in the ministry
  • to train disciples to be creative, pro-active, and need-oriented in disciple making

5. Church programs

  • LIFE (discipleship) groups are a major strategy in the development of sequential growth for disciples.
  • The primary function of our worship is to develop adoration and worship toward God through the medium of music, the proclamation of the Word, and the celebration of the Lord's Supper.
  • Our Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs) are a vital structure in outreach, assimilation, fellowship, and Bible study.
  • Our children and youth ministries offer Biblically-based instruction and opportunities to serve on a level that is appropriate to each age and that challenges them toward maturity in Christ.
  • The primary function of our leadership team is to set broad policies, macro-manage the church, and keep all ministries in line with the doctrinal statement, constitution, and philosophy of ministry.
  • The micro-management of all ministries is delegated to leaders of those ministries, and accountability will be maintained through leadership training meetings and disciple making channels.
