Notes from your Leadership Team
If you've been around MCC for a few years, you've probably heard the term "church board." That's who we are, your "leadership team." We changed the name to more closely align the name to our role. We don't sit in a room and "make decisions" in a detached manner as the term "church board" implies. We want to work closer with all MCC ministries and come along side them for encouragement and support. That's why we changed our name to "Leadership Team."
In addition to our pastoral role, other functions of the Leadership Team are to set broad policies and provide oversight of the church, seeing that all ministries align with the philosophy of ministry. The micro-management of all
ministries is delegated to leaders of those ministries and accountability will be maintained through leadership training meetings and disciple-making activities.
Does this mean we're going to become an "elder led church?" That depends on what you mean by "elder led." We don't want to make all the decisions. We want to encourage you to find your area of ministry, and then we want to empower you to serve God to the fullest. We will lead in prayer, encouragement, and service to the ministries to which we're aligned.
Speaking of alignment, this is how it all shakes out. The ministry and the elder(s) associated with each ministry are listed below.
