MCC CHOIR
      Lamb of Glory cast.
The purpose of our choir is to "Sing to the Lord" and life up and glorify God, the Father, Jesus Christ, his son, and the Holy Spirit with music, leading all present to experience the presense of God. Every effort is made to fulfill this purpose by using the talents He has given us to the very best of our abilities, allways striving for excellence, and realizing that we are worshiping the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

The choir at Minier Christian Church functions as a small group, sharing prayer requests, and cencerns, praying and caring for one another and others. Anyone high school through adult ages is welcome to join this open group.

Food Pantry

The food pantry is an emergency pantry. There are no income guidelines, but we do ask that those who partake do not come back sooner than 30 days. We serve addresses from Armington and Minier only.

The first Sunday of each month is a designated time to bring items to help refill the pantry; grocery carts are at the east, west, and south entrances to place your donations.

MCC Life Groups. Are you seeking more out of a church than being a Sunday morning spectator? Do you have the desire to develop a relationship with God? Are you ready to make the commitment to grow and follow Jesus as a disciple? If so, we invite you to become part of a LIFE group that corresponds to where you are in your Christian walk.

If you are interested in joing a LIFE group at Minier Christian Church, please contact our discipleship minister, Andy Johnson (309.392.2290) or andyj.mcc@verizon.net.

Our LIFE groups meet regularly throughout the year to encourage believers to grow in Christ.
The 4 Phases of Discipleship

New Life

The initial phase of discipleship includes being introduced to Jesus and getting to know more about Him.

Disciples learn the basic teachings of the faith and accept Him as Lord and Savior of their life.

By the end of this phase a believer:

Confesses Jesus as Lord,                  Rom. 10:9
repents of their sins,                         Acts 3:19
is bured (immersed) in baptism,        Rom. 6:4
receives God's Holy Spirit,                 Acts 2:38
and lives as a new creation.             II Cor. 5:17

Abundant Life

A LIFE group at this phase consists of mature Christians who have completed the studies in a "Deeper Life" group. At this point they are able to lead in a ministry and are possibly training an apprentice to do what he/she does.

At this phase a disciple conitnues to grow in:

encouraging other believers,            Hebrews 10:25
understanding of biblical truth,         Col. 1:10
their relationship with God,              II Peter 3:18
and holiness, living as an example
  to all believers in speech,
conduct, love, faith and purity.       I Timothy 4:12

Deeper Life

During this phase, a disciple learns more about God as they grow toward maturity.

A disciple practices the disciplines of:

prayer,                                   Philippians 4:6
personal Bible study,             II Timothy 3:16
scripture memorization,         Psalm 119:11
stewardship,                         II Cor. 8:5, 7
and evangelism.                    I Peter 3:15

A disciple displays godly attitudes and behaviors as they grow in holiness and begin to serve in a supervisor ministry.

A disciple may encounter opposition, derision and persecution because of their faith at this phase.

Life-Time

At this highest phase, a disciple is faithful in their daily disciplines, with or without an accountablility group.

A disciple is firm enough in their faith to be willing to die for Christ.     Philippians 1:21

A disciple multiples their ministry by passing on leadership to those they have trained.
II Timothy 2:2

Women's Council

Women's Council meets the first Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm, April thru December for fellowship, support of our missions to Kulpahar Kids Home in India, and our own Mark Fishel serving in the Czech Republic; but our primary purpose is to glorify God in every facet of our lives.

Young At Heart
The regular meetings of Young at Heart are on the third Thursday of each month from April through December.

Along with a delicious meal a variety of programs are planned. A favorite activity is "Traveling Bingo." Seasonal programs are included as well as humorous, educational, and devotional times.

Great fun, food, and fellowship is enjoyed by all!
